Larry D. Simon, founder of Simon Law Office provides quality representation in the areas of criminal defense, traffic defense and civil rights litigation. Larry is admitted to practice in all Kentucky State Courts as well as the Federal District Court for the Western and Eastern Districts of Kentucky, the Southern District of Indiana, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth and Seventh Circuits, and the United States Supreme Court.
Prior to forming his own law practice in 1985, Mr. Simon served as a Felony Court Prosecutor for the Jefferson County Circuit Court for five years. He received his Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from the University of Louisville in 1975 and his Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from University of Louisville School of Law in 1980.
Mr. Simon is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association, Louisville Bar Association, Kentucky Justice Association, and the National Police Accountability Project. Mr. Simon is also a member of the Kentucky Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers where he serves as District Vice-President.
Attorney Simon is a well-respected lawyer in his community. He has served on the Committee on Professional Responsibility and has been the Chair of Criminal Practice Section for the Louisville Bar Association. In 1992, he received the Pro Bono Service Award. The Pro Bono Service Award recognizes Kentucky attorneys who have provided or enabled the direct provision of legal services to poor persons or to organizations whose primary purpose is to provide legal services to the poor, free-of-charge, without expectation of compensation from the client.
